I’ve learned that good social media goes far beyond making a post look good. The visuals might be what catches someone’s attention, but the message, audience, and purpose are what make it meaningful. Through managing social media for Miami Athletics, my sorority, and my residence hall as an RA, I’ve had the opportunity to explore how design can do more than communicate. Social media has the ability to make people feel like they are part of something bigger by connecting them to a team, organization, and each other. At its core, that sense of connection and belonging is what turns an audience into a community. Through this, I have learned to think beyond the graphics and consider the bigger picture behind every piece of content I create.
Miami Athletics
Working with Miami Athletics has given me experience creating content across multiple sports and within a professional environment. I’ve learned to work within established brand guidelines while developing content that feels energetic and relevant to each team and its audience.
What I Do
Content planning & scheduling, game-day coverage, short-form video & reels, live updates & stories, athlete/team features, and cross-platform adaptation.

Sorority
Managing social media for my sorority allowed me to take a more community-focused approach to content. I create social content to promote events, celebrate members, communicate important information, and encourage audience engagement.
What I Do
Event promotion, recruitment content, member spotlights, campaign concepts, photography & visual direction, audience engagement, and community storytelling.

Residence Life
As an RA, I used social media as a tool for community building and communication. From promoting residence hall events to sharing information with residents, I learned how design and social content can make information feel more approachable and engaging.
What I Did
Event promotion, resident communications, informational campaigns, community announcements, educational content, engagement initiatives, and audience-focused messaging.
